The 60 Hour Film Blitz
Welcome to the 60 Hour Film Blitz Festival 2011! This 3 day event is designed to inspire members of the St Andrews community and those from further afield to engage in the 600th Anniversary of the University of St Andrews, through an entertaining and culturally dynamic event. This festival is the first of its kind to come to town, giving people a chance to express themselves and their personal experience of St Andrews through the medium of film.
The festival itself will run from Tuesday 1st March to Friday 4th March 2011, concluding with a fantastic screening in the heart of St Andrews on the Friday night. A panel of distinguished judges with ranging expertise has been assembled and will award the prizes to each category of entry - it is a competition after all!
"My goal for this festival is to involve as many people as possible through participation and support, whether they be students, staff or town members. It doesn't matter if you've never made a film before or you have an extensive portfolio; what matters is granting people the opportunity to show what St Andrews means to them, and what better way to do that then by making a film and sharing it with the community."
Julia Newton, Festival Director 2010/2011
