Half Cut Film Festival will be a fantastic, star-spangled, red-carpeted evening, showcasing all the films nominated for receiving an award. In recent years, Half Cut has seen creativity in full, including gritty drama, musicals in miniature, ninjas on swings, claymation and full lobster costumes - this year will be no exception. With submissions from students all across Scotland, and our distinguished judging panel, the night promises not to disappoint. Come join us for a fantastic evening full of inspiring films.

This year, Half Cut Film Festival welcomes a very special panel of guest judges. Join us and our distinguished guests before the festival, for a presentation on the industry and Q&A session, where afterwards you will get to meet the judges in person (if you've bought a VIP ticket) at our fancy 1950s Hollywood-themed reception before the show.
*if your film is selected for screening at the Half Cut Film Festival you will be presented with a complimentary VIP ticket.

With entries from universities across Scotland, this event will present the best of up-and-coming student film. At the end of the show, the audience will get to vote for their favourite film to be nominated for an award and screened at Half Cut Film Festival on the 22nd April.
